Before superstorm Sandy hit the East Coast, JON ZOIS<\/strong> and his girlfriend Meridith lived in this 150-year-old historic home in Union Beach, New Jersey. This is just one example of the scale of the devastation that Sandy caused across the region. “We were safe at a hotel,” Jon and Meridith wrote online after the storm, “but Hurricane Sandy destroyed our home and washed everything we own into the bay. […] We are physically fine but emotionally and financially devastated. Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated.
