yt sumner of “Big Girl” fame is currently in need of your assistance.
She wants postcards. Lots of them. With words on the back. Because she wants to turn those words and postcards into flash fiction. Lots of it.
All the details can be found on her site.
She’s not stopping until she gets a hundred of them, so let’s help her out. Together we can prove once and for all that the internet isn’t just for porn.
Please, please, please, for the love of God, don’t send her porn.

While Jersey Devil Press is mainly a fiction site, I’d like to think that we’re more interested in the story that’s being told than the genre it conforms to. Because, honestly, sometimes the truth makes the best stories.
Case in point, this article from nj.com: Acrobatic thieves hit N.J. Best Buy.
The robbers pulled a Mission Impossible and went in from the ceiling, making off with twenty laptops.
While I — and JDP — certainly do not condone overly elaborate electronics heists, you’ve gotta admit that it’s kind of fucking awesome.

Our friends over at Bananafish have put up their inaugural issue. You can find it here.
Bananafish is “an online venue for exceptional, short-form literature with a focus on wit, originality, and innovation,” founded by Daniel McDermott, author of “Three Dates in Orlando,” currently online in our very own Issue Four.
And if that wasn’t enough, Bananafish’s first issue also includes stories by previous JDP contributor and all-around exceptional writer Anne Wagener (“Time Machine,” Issue Three) and our very own editor Eirik Gumeny.
So go check them out. Not only is it a mini Jersey Devil Press love-in, but it’s an excellent, worthwhile literary journal in its own right.
