Anticipation for the 2010 Jersey Devil Press Anthology is crazy, I know. What with the discounted bundles and the fact that it’s pure fiction fury and all. We’ve got a metric crap-ton of awesome authors in it, and at least twice that many we sadly could not include. And, believe me, we tried to fit them all in. With crowbars and hammers and shit.
But, hey, you can still find all those awesome authors here on the website! Just click that Authors! Authors! link over on your right. Or, you know, the one I just inserted into the post. Either way! Click it. It’s a sexy list, right?
Want to be part of it?
Then take a look at our submission guidelines. And check out our editor interviews here and — most recently, at Six Questions For… — here.
Study them, memorize them. Print them out and sleep with them under your pillows. Then send us what you’ve got. And maybe you too can be one of our sexy, awesome, wonderful authors and end up in the next anthology.

M. R. Lang was kind enough to point us towards yourworldoftext.com. He even went so far as to set up a page for Jersey Devil Press on the site. He claims it was easy, but we refuse to believe that. He’s just being modest.
We heartily recommend everyone check it out. Even if it’s just to goof around for a bit. Add a six-word story to the list, help out with the never-ending walrus tale we’ve got going on, or just post up some flash of your own. It’s fun and it’s a cool way to interact with some of the other authors/readers of Jersey Devil Press. Assuming you’re not already stalking them on Facebook or Twitter, that is. Which is also kinda fun.
Speaking of, don’t forget to be a fan of JDP on Facebook. Stay up-to-date with all the goings-on and post random shit to our wall for all to comment on. Or, if you’re more Twitter-inclined, follow our editor and various other author-types. A vague sense of personal boundaries is keeping us from linking to them directly, as we forgot to ask permission, but if anyone wants to throw up their screen name in the comments, we won’t stop you.
Together we can be a force for… procrastination and self-promotion, probably.
But then, that’s what the internet was created for.

So, you’ve read through Issue Five and checked the calendar and realized it’s nowhere near March and therefore nowhere near the next issue of JDP and now you’re all like, “Fuck, what am I gonna read now?!”
Well, one of the earlier issues, for starters. Or our friends at Bananafish. Or Short, Fast, and Deadly.
“But I’ve read all those already!” you’re saying. “Give me something else!”
Fine, you whiny… Ahem. What I mean is, check out FictionDaily, an internet fiction aggregate. They scour the web so you don’t have to, updating daily with a trio of the best of what’s out there. The fun part is they don’t list the author, the title, or the venue, just an excerpt linking to the story. It’s pretty cool.
There. Happy now? Don’t say I never gave you anything.
